Jobs guide
Move from a clear request to a written proposal and a trackable project. Homeowners manage their requests; professionals manage proposals and accepted work from their own accounts.
Step 1
Homeowners choose a service, location, timing and budget, then add work details and useful photos. Review the preview before publishing. A browser draft is private and has not been posted.
Prepare a job requestStep 2
Professionals browse open requests and check service, area, scope and customer budget before responding. A job listing is an opportunity to discuss the work, not an assignment or guarantee of being hired.
Browse open jobsStep 3
Homeowners open the request’s proposals to compare the proposed scope, price, schedule and profile. Use Messages to resolve exclusions, materials, access and any required qualifications before choosing a professional.
Review my job proposalsStep 4
Confirm what is included, who supplies materials, the final price and how changes will be approved. Accept a proposal only when those details are clear. Accepted work becomes a project for the homeowner and selected professional.
Review proposals before hiringStep 5
Use the project record for status, milestones and messages. Record agreed changes and completion evidence. Payment and payout actions depend on what is enabled and available on the project; a status label alone is not proof that funds moved.
Open project timelineStep 6
Check the agreed work and remaining issues before marking completion. Eligible homeowners can review the professional from a completed project. Keep relevant work records in Home Passport and contact support if an issue cannot be resolved.
Find projects to reviewCheck credentials relevant to the work, ask for a written scope and keep important changes in the project conversation. Do not share account passwords or payment credentials in job descriptions or messages.
